One of the important aspects of the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary is the C.P Mathew Memorial Library. The library started functioning in 1926. It contains books of various languages such as English, Hindi and Malayalam. The books cover various areas such as theology, philosophy, biblical studies, ministry, subaltern studies, religious studies, biographies, novels etc. The library houses the theses submitted by the students of B.D, M.Th, and D.Th. There are also various commentaries and dictionaries. The reading area has the newspapers and periodicals. A computer centre functions in the library.

The archives functions as part of the library. The Archives section of the seminary library was inaugurated on December 21, 1976. This also hosts a museum containing historical items. The present M.C Varughese Memorial Archives and Museum building was inaugurated on May 24,1988 by his Grace the Most Rev. Dr. Alexander Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan.
Many historical documents are preserved here especially those relating to the history of the Malankara Syrian Church. There are many Syrian books, handwritten documents (manuscripts), photos, Palmyra leaf manuscripts, etc. There is also present a chair used by Abraham Malpan. There was undertaken a digitization of the archives to save them. Many people, even those from outside the Seminary use the services of the Archives for research.
